Mrs. Vilma Hell-Frijters
My name is Wilma Hell-Frijters, and I live in the Netherlands, near the Belgian border. I’ve been passionate about dogs since childhood, starting with obedience, agility, and flyball training as a teenager. My first purebred dog was a beautiful Rough Collie male, whose breeder encouraged me to participate in dog shows. In 1996, I bred my first Rough Collie litter under the kennel name Dunblane.
During agility training, I met two Samoyeds. They weren’t the best agility dogs but they were full of fun, and I was drawn to their independent and stubborn character. In 2005, I welcomed my first Samoyed from Birgit Eistrup Jensen of the Sam-Ways kennel in Denmark. That marked the beginning of my life with Samoyeds. Together with my husband, I’ve had the pleasure of showing our dogs across Europe, earning National and International Champion titles, Winner titles, BIS, and BISS. Over the years, we have bred several litters, and later, Alaskan Malamutes and Eurasians joined our pack.
My deep interest in all things about dogs led me to enjoy working as a ring steward, and eventually, I began studying to become a judge. I am now certified to judge breeds in Groups 1, 5, and 6, and I’ve had the privilege of judging in various countries.
I am very honored to have been invited to judge the Euro Samoyed Show in Slovenia and am excited to meet many wonderful people and beautiful Sammies!
